"A bare room was considered to show a lack of taste and so Victorian interiors appeared to be very cluttered compared to modern minimalist ideas."
This statement seemed to be one of the author's opinion, but it explains everything why the victorian people would like to historically fill the space.
Numerous framed pictures and accessaries place every available space.
It is hard to find any space without decoration or accessaries.

I really like the quote she found, I think that is very outside the box and also a very good description of Victorian Interiors.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of the Victorian era images that are from the actual Victorian era, but the modern ones are actually quite beautiful and regal looking. I would consider looking at this style for my future projects. Also, I love the use of the quote. It really sums us what the era was.
ReplyDeleteHello Somang,
ReplyDeleteThis post was very interesting in how it shows just how cluttered the victorian era was. I would probably feel very claustrophobic with all the clutter in the room if I were to live there. Today the same aesthetics are being used, but in a more organized fashion without the extra decorative pieces on the walls which can help the space feel less chaotic.
